Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir

If you're thinking about dropping $1.5 million on a set of wheels, would a special edition really tip the scales one way or another? Well, Bugatti evidently thinks so. After having produced the Pur Sang and the Fbg par Hermès editions, the ultra-premium auto marque revealed the Sang Noir last month.

Now, after disgruntled U.S. buyers lost out on the opportunity to buy the Pur Sang when it sold out to an invited group of European customers in Paris, Bugatti has announced that its American clientele will get first crack at the limited run of 15 Sang Noir Veyrons before they're offered elsewhere in the world. And who said holding American citizenship isn't worth what it used to be?

RENNtech PKG2 Boosts SLR 722 to 740 HP

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren may be on its way out, but that doesn't mean there can't be more horsepower extracted from the supercar. The original had 617hp. Then came the SLR 722, which despite its name had 650 horses underhood. The 722's American importer, RENNtech, addressed the perception gap with its first package, boosting output to an eponymous 722hp. Never satisfied to leave well enough alone, RENNtech has now released its second package for the SLR 722 that further boosts power to 740 thanks to a revised ECU and a freer-flowing exhaust system.

While RENNtech's PKG1 went for a solid $12,900 (come on, what's a lousy $13k on the price of such a supercar?), the new PKG2 costs a heftier $26,990, plus an extra $7,800 for the optional Signature 10-spoke 20-inch rims, which can be had in chrome, satin-ceramic or "sniper gray" finishes. The SLR won't be leaving without a final swan song.

Top 10 Italian Cars for Men

Number 10: Fiat Panda This former European Car of the Year made it clear that an Italian car could be a success without serious performance credentials. The 1980 debut of the Giugiaro-designed box on wheels gave buyers a frill-free way to get around without a great sense of urgency.

Number 9: Maserati Bora Truly one of Maserati's best-looking and -performing cars, the V8 mid-engine coupe of 1971-1980 was good for up to 165 mph in tip-top tune shape. Even the EPA regulations of the day didn't emasculate the Bora as they did with other cars.
Number 8: Ferrari 308 GTB / GTS The car most associated with Magnum, P.I. had plenty of star power in its own right, making it a success then and a reasonably affordable means of Ferrari ownership today. Some purists contend that the V8 mid-engine, 308 GTB coupes and GTS targas of 1975-1984 had misplaced powerplants that were four cylinders shy of being a true Ferrari.

Number 7: Lancia Stratos The short wheelbase and wedge shape suggested performance, and the Stratos backed it up with a willing and able V6 sourced from Ferrari. With just under 500 produced from 1972-1974, you'd best grab any model you can find.
Number 6: Alfa Romeo Spider Alfa Romeo has been dubbed as the poor man's Ferrari, but in some ways that's really a compliment. A twin-cam engine that loved to rev and tossable handling. Alfisti aren't enamored with the rubber-bumper cars that hit the scene in 1974, and the best compromise of looks and drivability is probably found in the steel-bumper 1971-1973 cars, with their fuel-injected, 2.0-liter engines.

Number 5: Lamborghini Murchielago The all-wheel drive Murcilago still commands your full attention and respect for what its V12 can do, but now you can drive it hard without fear of needing major service at the end of the day. That's especially true of the LP640 and its even more powerful (632 horsepower) 6.5-liter engine, introduced in 2006.

Number 4: Ferrari 250 GTO The original Ferrari GTO of 1962-1964 embodied what few other cars have: gorgeous looks, fearsome performance, racing success, and (relative) civility on the road. The Scaglietti design was used to more or less replace the bodywork of the open 250 GT Testa Rossa to comply with FIA sanctioning rules -- not that Ferrari played by all the rules.

Number 3: Fiat 500 Every country had its postwar "people's car." In Britain, it was the Austin Mini. Over in France, the Citroen 2CV slowly moved the masses. And, of course, the VW Beetle was a worldwide hit. The Italian version of this formula was the iconic Fiat 500.

Number 2: Lamborghini Countach Some cars just weren't meant to be tamed; the best you can hope for is a truce. If any car embodies such a relationship, it's the Lamborghini Countach.
Number 1: Ferrari Enzo Plenty of automakers claim to integrate racing technology into their street cars, but the ultimate example of this, and of Italian cars in general, is Ferrari's Enzo.Utilizing Formula One technology throughout, the 2002-2004 Ferrari Enzo is even more stunning when you consider it as a whole: It doesn't just accelerate like mad, it doesn't just handle phenomenally, it doesn't just make bad drivers look good (OK, with one infamous exception); it is the ultimate Ferrari, and it is the ultimate Italian car.

Wald Tunes Lexus IS-F

The extrovert of the entire Lexus lineup, the IS-F isn't light on visual or actual horsepower. Japan's Wald Tuning hasn't let that fact get in their way of releasing the Sports Line Black Bison bodykit. Wald's setup adds some visual aggression through an increase in the number of strakes and vents, as well as a trunklid spoiler. Doubtless, this get-up will add weight, possibly offering contradictory real-world performance from a vehicle that certainly looks like it should be fast. The amped-up visuals also help distract from the controversial fender gills, and the Black Bison package for the IS-F manages tack-on without being overly tacky. Well, maybe just a little tacky.

New 2009 Nissan Maxima

The latest Nissan out of the gate - the sixth model to wear the "Maxima" designation - gets a significant redesign for 2009. Launched in 1985, the first Maxima was a praised departure from its predecessor, the rear-wheel-drive Datsun 810. Reconfigured as front-wheel-drive, the newly-named sedan foreshadowed the arrival of Nissan's "4-Door Sports Car" or "4DSC", a name aptly-coined for the 1989 model. While each subsequent generation seemed to soften (much to the lament of enthusiasts), the automaker claims this ground-up remake once-again earns the 4DSC moniker.

2008 Aznom Clubman Chateau Mini

Pleasure, Emotion, Pragmatism, Elegance. These are the basic items of the new interpretation of the Mini Clubman signed Aznom. So the new Mini Chateaux is born, a Mini that, thanks to its name evokes the elegance of the world of the Grands Chateaux; for this reason in its car trunk has found place a 6 bottles (and chalices) wine-cellar completely caulked and shock absorbent built up with the same wood and leather selected for the car.

Concerning the inner features, the match of aged / gaucho leather and alcantara creates a warm vintage atmosphere that embraces the passengers in a special trip of elegance, emotion and tradition. In order to make this car version really special, we chose to couple a more “classic” style leather with an unconventional/eccentric old-looking one.

Regarding the car body , the exterior paint pearly-changeable brown has been matched with a sandy/gold metallic paint selected for the top, for part of bumpers and other details shaping up the whole car style creating an ideally separation between top and body, mostly thanks to the wide side windows that lightens the top part of the car.

The really distinguishing element is the precious wood used internally and externally. Inside (glossy finished) for some details of dashboard and doors. Outside (mat and weather resistant finished) for the top part of back bumper, head lamps frame, underlining so the back doors, emblmatic element, typical of the Mini Clubman version.

So, we wish in this way to dedicate to the legendary Mini Clubman a really brand-new interpretation, worthy of being its modern heiress.

The chose alloy wheels TSW “Pace” are elegant and sporty same time, and thanks to the generous dimensions of 18” equipped with 205/40 tyres Yokohama S-Drive has been put a stress on the peculiar dynamic vocation that all along distinguishes the Mini style.

The Mini Chateaux will be realized in a limited edition of sole 12 really exclusive samples characterized by numbered labels completed with the name of the lucky owners.

Aston Martin N400 Roadster

It's all abou the sound of the engine in the new Aston Martin N400 roadster. With the roof down, at 4,000 rpm you reach what appears to be the most favorable feeling in the world "Nirvana". At this point at the exhuast baffles up more, rather than the V8 burbling away, it takes on a much harder edge. Thank goodness the engine has a lovely singing voice.

The N400 is a limited-edition car with only 240 built and now completely sold out, but you might still be able to get the odd one at one of the dealers. It gets the same rather naff Nürburgring map stitched into the leather on the interior ,and also gets the sports suspension option that appears on the Vantage face-lift.

What's really impressive though about this is, that it doesn't ruin the ride. There's still a suppleness here that's surprising in a roadster, which means that scuttle shake also never becomes a problem.

Other than the slightly notchy gear change, the driving experience is incredible, it really is surprising how pointy and directional the N400 feels. All of which means that concentrating on the noise becomes pretty much the only thing you need concern yourself with.

Bumper Stickers Cause Road Rage

Bumper stickers are hilarious. "If the screams from my trunk bother you, turn up your radio"? Side-splitting. 'I'm not stupid, I'm hard of thinking'? Classic.

But psychologists in Colorado have discovered a high correlation between bumper stickers and road rage. Really. More bumper stickers equal more rage.

And, even more intriguingly, it doesn't matter what's on the stickers: angry slogans, hilarious one-liners, messages of world peace. Sticky bumper, angry brain.

The study tells us that the bumper sticker is used as something that marks territory, personalising the car in the same way as vanity plates and decals and making the driver more likely to defend their territory.

"We have a lot of instincts that animals have," says William Szlemko, co-author of the study. "Many people respond as if the violation took place in their home and not on a public road."
So unless you want people thinking you're a cleaver-wielding nutjob, you'd better peel off that "My Other Car is a Bus" as quick as you can.

That said, we've always found the shotgun/back window correlation a rather clearer indication of likely road manners.

The Aprilia SXV 550

The Aprilia SXV550 can best be described by the word 'extreme'. For its extremely compact yet very powerful V-Twin engine to its extremely uncomfortable saddle, this is a bike that demands attention from its rider. Also extreme is its ability to wheelie and perform stoppies, so much so that it must be ridden with great respect on the street.

The Supermoto category is basically made up of off-road bikes equipped with just the bare essentials to be street-legal. Off go the knobbies and in their places are spooned grippy sportbike tires on 17-inch wheels. This bike fits neatly into that category and was created with maximum fun in mind, but does the SXV's extreme nature take the joy out of riding it on the street? Very much so, this bike can do it all, stoppies, wheelies, and oh the sound.

New NSX To Beat GT-R

Honda's Ceo is demanding for the new NSX to be stronger and faster than the new Nissan GT-R which has put the Bugatti to shame at Nürburgring. The new NSX is suspected to get a 5.5L V10 producing 550 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque and an all wheel drive system.

By the time the NSX is finished in during the next 2 years. The GT-R will be even more improved. And the killer price will stay the same, unlike the NSX.

30 Years of M Power

Thirty years have pased since the first “M” series production model, the legendary M1 rolled of the Bavarian car maker’s assembly line in 1978, the BMW M GmbH has now delivered 300,000 M vehicles all across the world. The 300,000th model is an alpine white BMW M3 Coupe that was sold to a customer in Regensburg, an East Bavarian town located near BMW’s “M” plant.

Although the M1 marks the beginning of BMW M model history, it was more of a race car than every day driver. The first real-world car to wear the “M” sport badge was essentially the 1979 M535i which was followed by the 286Hp M6/M635CSi in 1983 and a year latter, the 286Hp M5.
Today, the vehicle portfolio of the BMW M ranges in over nine models, the Z4 M Roadster and Coupe that boast a straight six with 343 bhp; the M5 Sedan & Touring, the M6 Coupe and Convertible that all feature a 507 bhp V10 engine and last but not least, the M3 Coupe, Sedan and Convertible that are equipped with a 420 bhp V8 engine.

According to the Bavarian automaker, in the year 2007, BMW M GmbH automobiles accounted for around one percent of the BMW Group's overall turnover worldwide.

The most popular M model is the M3 with worldwide purchases of the new version having surpassed the 4,000 mark in the first four months of 2008. The USA is the most important market for BMW M automobiles, and on the European continent the high-performance sports cars are popular in the UK, Germany and Italy.

The 2008 Mercedes Benz C300

Engineered specifically for performance driving, the newly designed C300 Sport Sedan embodies seven years of automotive thinking. Now more aggressive than ever, its dramatic 17-inch 7-twin-spoke wheels and new athletic profile are just the beginning.

Restyling runs the full length and breadth of the vehicle — even to its underside, where superior aerodynamics work hand in hand with the new AGILITY CONTROL sport suspension that automatically senses and adjusts to different road conditions and driving styles.

An AMG front intake seizes air — and attention — as it channels brake-cooling wind to the wheels. The Mercedes-Benz star is positioned front and center.

Inside, dual-zone climate control and an 8-speaker radio/CD/MP3 sound system are models of easy-to-use simplicity. The multimedia interface, comprised of one central controller and a five-inch color display, can be hidden when not in use.

Announcing Top Gear's - Team America

California, free refills and Megan Fox are no longer the only good things about America.

Because now, America has its own Top Gear television show.

And even though you will have no idea who any of them are, they've just announced their presenters...

First up there's Adam Carolla, who has a whole host of superlatives associated with his name, like 'comedian', 'radio personality', 'television presenter' and 'actor'.

He's best known over there for his radio program "The Adam Carolla Show", yet over here you might have seen him in Crank Yankers, the TV show he produced and starred in that features real crank calls by celebrity guests which are then re-enacted on screen by puppets.

Most importantly however, he owns two classic Lambos, Maseratis, Ferraris and an Audi S4.

Which is a better qualification than anything.

Then there's Tanner Foust - how good is that name?? - who's a high demand stunt guy, having driven in The Bourne Ultimatum, that Fast And The Furious set in Japan and, er, The Dukes Of Hazzard.

He's also won a load of different things for rallying, drifting, ice racing and time attack. But all you really need to know is this, and that he drives a 'tricked-out' M3.

Bringing up the rear is Eric Stromer, who's an American DIY legend - think Handy Andy with blonde hair and a guitar - who's also a regular on Carolla's radio show, advising listeners on their construction concerns.

And he drives a Toyota Camry hybrid... ahem.
It seems no one's told Clarkson that though, 'cos he's quite happy about it all.

Kicherer CLK 63 AMG Black Edition

The prevailing notion that sports cars are just a pleasure for two was now contradicted by Kicherer.

The renowned Mercedes embellishing specialists from Stockach have enriched the CLK 63 AMG, which is actually a two-seater, with a sporty back seat.

When you take the north loop in less than 8 minutes with this bolide, all those seats will definitely provide more fun – and adrenaline – than any rollercoaster.

And what is more, those additional seats guarantee a Black Edition with a significantly improved road capability.

But, Kicherer will even delight design and sports enthusiasts.

The radiator grill, already quite impressive on the standard version, is replaced by an even sportier variant made of carbon and featuring carbon fibre struts.

The beautiful forged three-part wheel, Kicherer RS-1, also fulfils a double function as it is a visual and – thanks to weight reduction – also a sportive gain.

The chassis – specially developed for Kicherer by DTM specialist H&R – also improves the racer’s cornering dynamics by several degrees. Since the Kicherer engineers have taken care of the engine, too, they have further underlined their reinterpretation by carbon mirror shells.

With its 540 hp, the Kicherer CLK racer gained about 33 hp. Even the torque has been improved by another 20 Nm.

Thus equipped, the Kicherer CLK only needs 4.1 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and runs faster than 300 km/h – thanks to a derestricted V/max.

In order to delight any fellow passenger’s vision, Kicherer has equipped the car with additional carbon intarsia.

These do not only include – as is usually the case – parts of the centre console and of the door linings, but also ultra-light front seat buckets made of genuine carbon.

Therefore, even at a red light, the “normal” Black Edition becomes a Kicherer Racer.

Sneak Peek of New Convertible Camaro

General Motors has released a pair of small shots showing the a convertible version of the new Camaro. While not much is revealed here, feel free open these shots while we wait for larger ones to come up.

Audi S3 - Review

Put to one side for a moment all the elements that put the S3 in the premium car sector and it's soon apparent that it also performs the primary task of a hot hatch: providing an engaging and fun drive. The turbocharged direct-injection 2.0-litre engine generates an impressive 261bhp and 258lb-ft of torque, with the turbo lag of old greatly reduced, thanks to changes made by Audi's engineers.

All this power means that the 0-62mph sprint takes place in just 5.8 seconds, putting it in the same territory as cars such as the BMW Z4, Nissan 350Z and Lotus Elise. Top speed is electronically limited to 155mph.The six-speed manual gearbox - which is crisp and provides accurate changes - is the only option available at the moment, but Audi's seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic will become available a later date. Thanks to the Audi's Quattro system, the power is distributed to all four wheels as and when required by road conditions, so the car always has plenty of traction and high levels of mechanical grip.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Review

This ain’t no Amateur Stick. This here is a Pro-logue.
“Classy” and “video game” usually go together about as well as bottle of Pétrus and pre-sliced American cheese. But every couple of years, the folks at Polyphony Digital pull out their giant, oversized syringe, full of style and affluence, and inject it right into the gaming world’s giant, oversized ass. And for a little while, we all get to feel like we’re living out our virtual caviar dreams.

I like to think of the Gran Turismo games as the tuxedo shirts of the gaming world. They fit in with the black-tie set just as well as they do the beer-and-pretzels set. Playing the GT series gets everyone to feel like the prince of a small Mediterranean country, a prince who also keeps an old Camaro out back on cinder blocks.

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Spec II follows the release of Gran Turismo HD: Concept on their slow way toward the final Gran Turismo 5 product. Apparently, Polyphony Digital doesn’t believe in calling their preliminary games “demos.” They’ve got too much class and pretension to stoop so low. No, they’ve got “concepts” and “prologues”. I guess I should stop using my “front door” and start using my “grand entrance” instead.

Admittedly, HD Concept was more filled out than your everyday demo, since it had leaderboards, user videos, and tuning features. But it was only limited to one course and just a handful of cars, and the physics engine wasn't all that different from what it was in GT4. It was a free tease, but it was mostly just a graphical showcase with no real changes to the gameplay in prior installments.

But Gran Turismo 5: Prologue presents us with a set of much more challenging philosophical conundrums: Is it a game? Is it a demo? Is it shameless consumer abuse? Figuring out exactly “what it is” can feel like an exercise in existential phenomenology. However, I can assure you, this is a full game, complete unto itself. Only when compared to other Gran Turismo games might this title seem lacking in content. It’s got more vehicle and course selections than Motorstorm, more robust online features than DIRT, and more variability in its physics models than Forza 2.

If HD Concept was a sign of where the series was heading visually, Prologue shows us where the series is heading in terms of gameplay and presentation. The driving physics, play modes, online features, carmaker tie-ins, menu screens, and load times have all been massively retooled. If I were to lambaste this game for what it isn’t or what features it doesn’t have, I may as well also criticize it for not cooking me breakfast or for letting a game like Survivor see the light of day. It is what it is - a damn fine racing sim. That it’s just a “prologue” of what’s to come is utterly mind-blowing.

This isn’t to say it’s perfect. The in-game race music sounds like something from a bad football highlights collection. But you can adjust the music levels for menus, replays, and racing independently of one another, something rarely seen in a game. So just turn off the racing music and don’t give it another thought. The music in the menus and replays retains the outstanding light jazz tunage of prior games in the series, allowing your inner middle-aged white man to shake his groove thang.

And there are a couple of other small issues. Racing purists might be bothered by the fact that they can’t turn off the gear-shift indicator, and I also found it a little annoying that I couldn’t organize my garage by drivetrain. The game also doesn’t remember your preferred camera position; each time you restart the game it defaults to the bumper camera. While it’s true that most people probably use this view, Polyphony put so much effort into creating a beautiful cockpit view (the best I’ve ever seen) that this seems like a strange oversight.

But what Prologue does do, it does almost flawlessly. The game includes online races, an arcade mode for single-player customized races, a local two-player mode, carmaker-specific races, and single-player events. The single-player events come in a series of four classes: C, B, A, and S. You have to complete each of the ten events in one class to move on to the next by placing in the top three, making for a total of 40 events. Most events are straightforward races against up to 15 other cars. Other events include time trial events and single-lap, single-model races. The latter of these event types, where you have one lap to pass all 15 of your competitors using a pre-determined car, are the most challenging.

Unlike prior GT games, you can’t rely on simply earning enough money to buy better aftermarket parts to improve your vehicle to ensure victory. This time around, you’re stuck with stock parts, and most races strictly limit the type of cars you can use, which helps to keep things challenging and prevents money-grinding your way to a win. Only after you’ve finished the first three classes can you then begin tuning your cars, but even then, you’re limited by an overall power rating. It’s a fantastic improvement over one of the fundamental flaws in the series. It remains to be seen whether GT5 will find a similar way to prevent grinding for parts.

But the real gem of the new settings is the toggle between the “standard” and “professional” physics models. As far as I can tell, “standard” feels pretty much identical to the physics model used in GT4. The “professional” setting, however, brings the game to a whole new level of realism, challenge, and driving feel. Polyphony Digital has always had to balance accessibility and realism in its games. Make a game too real, and it becomes prohibitively difficult. Make it too accessible, and it gets labeled “arcadey.” Adding a toggle between the two physics models gives you the option of choosing a setting between the two. In certain online and S-class races, you will be limited to using only professional physics, so there’s plenty of challenge here for the well-versed and plenty of room to grow for the inexperienced.

However, for all that this game does well, the online modes could still use work. Getting online is a smooth experience, and the races themselves run beautifully. Unfortunately, there is no way to race against people on your friends list, and consequently there is no way to set up private races. Supposedly, both of these things are due to be added in the future, but as it stands, these features are sorely missed.

There is also a huge assortment of leaderboards for both time trial and drifting modes. Each of the 70+ vehicles and each of the twelve courses has its corresponding leaderboard for both types of play. The leaderboard portion of the game is far more polished than the multiplayer online racing modes. The menus are clearly organized and easy to navigate, and watching movies of the best players flying through these courses is a racing fan’s heaven.

Technically, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is tailor-made for people with high-end home theaters. Not only can this game render at 1080p, but it also runs at an unshakable 60 fps with nary a hitch or screen tear in sight. Load times are faster than they’ve ever been. The game also includes a crystal clear 7.1 LPCM audio track for those with the gear to enjoy it. To take advantage of all of this means having a serious theater system, and as if to rub this in, the game also includes audio settings for “living room”, “small theater”, and “large theater”. (All of you with an in-home “large theater” can go to hell, bee-tee-double-you.)

Even without a top-of-the-line home theater, this game makes you believe that you are living the high life. It exudes elitism, class, and affluence at every turn. It’s a game every bit as precise and refined as the cars it replicates. But it also doesn’t forget that it’s still a game made for the grease monkey in all of us. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue shits roses and presents them to us as the first course in what promises to be one of the tastiest racing meals ever served.
A-
+ Unrivaled recreations of cars and physics
+ New "professional" physics mode
+ Robust leaderboards
+ As beautiful to watch as it is to play
+ Adjustable difficulty
+ Does away with grinding for aftermarket parts
- Can't play with friends online

The Lamborghini Reventón Flies Over The Aumotive Capitol

The people of the great city of Turin looked to the sky today to see the new heights achieved by Lamborghini. The Lamborghini Reventón was carried by a military helicopter over the automotive capital of Italy, thanks to the special co-operation of the Marina Militare Italiana (the Italian marines). It landed on the rooftop of the Lingotto building, in an enclosed conference hosted by Lamborghini, entitled ”Lamborghini and speed – a project in record time”. The conference explored the extraordinary timescales and design and production abilities demonstrated by Lamborghini in producing it's 1 million euro super car, which all 20 units have been sold worldwide.

Chromed Out Ferrari

We already know how crazy Arabians can be, with their drifting videos on you tube, and crazy cities, but they are even crazier when they buy a $200,000 car and don't think it's enough. They chrome it out, and plate it in gold. This chromed out Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorono is one of those crazy examples.

2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed

The new Bentley Continental Flying Spur is more comfortable, more refined, and more opportunities for customer personalization. It is the most powerful four door saloon in the world with a V12 twin turbo engine. Which produces 600 hp and 553 lb-ft torque. It goes from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds and has top speed of 195 mph. Which is really not the purpose of this car. The purpose of the car is to ride in style and let everyone know you have money to buy something like. Instead of buying a Ferrari you buy this because you have kids and a wife, meaning you need a car that has more than 2 seats. This car is more than expected when you find out what kind of features the British manufacturer Bentley offers you. Park distance control system with new graphics on infotainment screen, new, follow-to-stop precision radar-based Adaptive Cruise Control with five time-gap settings, new optional full width rear seat with electrically adjustable outboard positions and fixed central seat, and there is just too much to list.

How to Buy a Cheap Sports Car

Step 1:Know that chain gas stations supply magazines with local listings of sports cars and most of these car magazines have a $2,999 and Under section where cars like Mazda Miatas and Nissan 240sx and Nissan 300zx can be found.

Step 2:Realize that Auto Trader Website is a haven for someone looking for a cheap sports car, with easy access to local and non-local sports cars through extremely easy search parameters.

Step 3:Look to buy a sports car for under $3000 at junkyards. Many junkyards put together older sport cars and will sometimes sell the refurbished vehicles for next to nothing.

Step 4:Check out Craigslist where it's easy to select cars--set the maximum amount to $3000; then set search parameters for local.

Step 5:Find used sports cars on eBay too, but expect to get outbid by someone like you. However, eBay is well known, and many people selling a car will lean towards eBay because they often get good results once the auctioning begins.

Step 6:Get involved in a car community or club to buy a sports car for under $3000. Start going to car shows and networking with people. Car enthusiasts will have four to five car projects going on, many next to being finished. Some people end up selling of one of their side project cars to pay for parts for a more current project--that's where you jump in to buy a sports car for under $3000. Networking will get you some of the best results.

Step 7:Work on your negotiating skills if you're not able to buy a sports car for under $3000. Keep in mind that the newest year for these used vehicles will be a 1998.

Step 8:Look for cars, such as a 1993 to 1996 Lexus SC300, 1993 to 1994 Lexus SC400, 1990 to 1996 Mazda Miata, 1993 to 1998 Honda Civic Coupe EX, 1991 to 1997 Toyota Celica, 1988 to 1992 Toyota Supra Turbo or 1989 to 1995 Acura Integra. These are just some of the possibilities.

Brabus Bullit Black Arrow New Price

Can you imagine how many sedans can take on the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V without breaking a sweat, the BRABUS Bullit Black Arrow could do it without question. Announced earlier this year and shown for the first time at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show in March, the Bullit Black Arrow by BRABUS is your garden variety everyday Mercedes-Benz C-Class stuffed with a 730-horsepower twin-turbo 6.3L V12. It is painted in matte black, presumably for stealth reasons so that the dark saloon can reach its 227 mph top speed undetected by radar until it's too late for the po-po to do anything about it.

The Bullit Black Arrow will go from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds, so it should just beat the CTS-V in that respect if the tires don't revert entirely to a gaseous state first. Of course, there are plenty of other upgrades, including all-carbon fiber front and rear aprons, a vented hood, flared aluminum wheel arches and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The transmission, suspension and brakes are all beefed up and the interior has also been done up to BRABUS spec, as well. Expect to pay a premium for owning this "King of Sedans", BRABUS has priced the Bullit Black Arrow at 348,000 euro or $542,549.60 USD.

The ENCO-Exclusive 550 GT Biturbo Cayenne

The Cayenne has always been my favorite SUV, mostly because of the common design, seeing the ENCO-Exclusive 550 GT Biturbo Cayenne, I must say I’m really surprised

Germans are highly skilled in providing special prototyping services for race teams and tuning companies, and man those black lacquered one-piece 23×11J XXL-rims with white ornamental stripes are really killing me. It’s probably the thing I liked in the first place.

This is what you’ll get if you can afford spending 170,000 euros for the car.

New 240sx/Silvia Appearance

This rendering, features the next generation 240SX/Silvia, which made its appearance on a video screen along with the first official picture of the 2010 370Z during the Nissan GT 2012 meeting a few weeks ago.

The scanned images from the Japanese magazine “Best Car” clearly depict an artist’s impression on the next gen 240SX/Silvia that will supposedly be powered a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot developing 225 PS. Best Car also speculates that Nissan’s affordable rear-wheel-drive coupe will be based on the Japanese carmaker’s FM platform measuring approximately 4,350 mm in length and 1,750 mm in width.

Volkswagen Touareg R50 - a Review From Down Under

Volkswagen’s strident motto clearly and eloquently defines their love of the car, though when it comes to the ‘R’ designated models, one must surmise that this is no ordinary love. This is lustful and unadulterated passion.

Having driven the thrilling R32 earlier this year I was impressed at just how well balanced and centred a car it had become above that of the already outstanding Golf. Thanks to some brilliant engineering work the enhanced model is truly something to behold.

Not only had shoe-horning a 3.2 litre V6 in to the small hatch back made it go harder, but every other mechanical feature of the car complimented the package so well as a whole that parting with such splendid company was a very hard process indeed.

Imagine then applying that level of enthusiasm and exhilaration to Volkswagen’s über four wheel drive, the Touareg. Now, that time has come.

A Kids GT-R

With Nissan’s GT-R coming to North American shores any time now, it’s no surprise that lesser beings want to mimic the much hyped GT-R. What’s surprising though is that Infiniti G35 owners are the ones adding GT-R styling cues. Yes, that’s right: Infinitis that want to look like Nissans. Go figure.
What gets me is that the G35 is already as beautiful as cars come, so why add an ugly misfit GT-R front bumper? Not only does mock the driver, but it also looks terribly tacky. It’s definately not worth the $495 it costs.

Porsche 911 gets XM Radio and XM NavTraffic

While its SUV sibling, the Porsche Cayenne, has offered satellite radio since 2005, the Porsche 911 has gone without. So in addition to direct-injection and a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 2009 Porsche 911 will also get the availability of XM Satellite Radio straight from the factory. In addition to 170 channels of music, sports, news, talk and entertainment, the satellite radio service will include XM NavTraffic, as well. The digital traffic service offers drivers up-to-date traffic and incident information. All customers who take delivery of a 2009 Porsche equipped with XM Radio and XM NavTraffic will enjoy a three-month complimentary subscription, but they'll probably enjoy the fact that they're driving a Porsche 911 even more.

G-Power M6 Hurricane

We were highly impressed with G-Power's M5 Hurricane. After all, it's twin-supercharged V10 produced nearly 50% more power than stock and it had a top speed of 211 mph, which G-Power claims to be faster than any other street legal Bimmer. With the BMW M6 packing the same 5.0-liter V10, it was only a matter of time before it received the same treatment.
Behold the G-Power M6 Hurricane! While the twin blowers are set for lower boost, only 6 psi compared to the M5's 10 psi, the M6 still produces a healthy 635 bhp @ 7300 rpm and 469 lb-ft torque @ 6300 rpm. This is good for a 4.5 second sprint to 60 mph and a top speed of nearly 200 mph. Not one to forget that appearance matters, G-Power also provides a new front and rear fascia, rocker panels, and carbon fiber rear diffuser along with 21-inch wheels that make room for a 15-inch brake system up front. M6 owners can drop off their car at G-Power's German headquarters or can order a fully assembled car starting at a mere 183,000 Euros. Full details can be found in the press release after the jump.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V

GM has made it a habit lately of announcing moderate preliminary figures when it comes to its high-end sports cars. Just like the Corvette ZR1 was SAE-certified at 638 Hp instead of the preliminary 620Hp announced at its debut in Detroit, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LSA engine officially delivers 556 Hp at 6100 rpm and 551 lb.-ft. (747 Nm) of torque at 3800 rpm (preliminary figure: 550Hp).

The 2009 CTS-V accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 sec while it covers the quarter-mile in 12 sec at 118 mph. According to Cadillac, these official acceleration times are believed to be the fastest for any V8-powered sedan currently in production. Talking about fast times, in testing May 8 at Germany's famed Nürburgring track, the new 2009 CTS-V completed a lap in 7:59.32, which is considered to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan on factory-spec street tires.

2008 BMW M5 by G-Power

One of the world's fastest and most powerful street-legal BMW is made by G-Power. The 211-mph G-Power Hurricane is based on the latest BMW M5. At the heart of the high-performance sedan is a five-liter V10 engine with G-Power EVO II supercharging system that delivers 730 bhp.

To achieve the desired increase in power output of 230 bhp for the fast-revving engine that normally produces 500 bhp, G-Power, in cooperation with ASA Automotive, has developed a high-tech supercharging system. The system uses one belt-driven ASA T1-12 compressor for each cylinder bank. Contrary to conventional mechanical chargers that waste a large portion of the additional power on being driven themselves, the ASA compressor has an efficiency rate of up to 80 percent. The ASA charger is also small, which allows G-Power to install two of them in the tight confines of the M5 engine bay. With a maximum airstream volume of up to 1,200 kg per hour per cylinder bank the compressors are designed for an even higher power output. Boost pressure is limited to 0.5 bars.

The pre-compressed charge air is cooled down in a highly efficient dual-flow water-to-air intercooler system that is mounted above the engine. This measure optimizes power yield and, in combination with a larger water-cooled oil cooler with pressure reservoir, also ensures the engine's thermal health. Specially developed mapping for engine electronics and SMG gearbox controls coordinate the perfect interaction of all new components.
The inner workings of the four-valve ten-cylinder engine are optimized for even higher engine speeds with lightweight, precision-matched high-performance forged pistons from technology partner MAHLE. The supercharged V10 engine produces its maximum power output of 730 bhp between 7,500 and 8,200 rpm. The high efficiency rate of the two superchargers, each spinning at up to 100,000 rpm and more, results in a torque diagram that rises early and at 3,800 rpm already surpasses the production engine's peak torque of 383 lb-ft, delivered at 6,100 rpm. The new peak of 517 lb-ft is reached at 7,200 rpm.

Acceleration performance benefits accordingly. With a sprint time from rest to 60 mph of 4.1 seconds the two-ton sedan bests its production counterpart by a few tenths. With approx. ten seconds to 124 mph the advantage grows to 5.0 seconds. The 186-mph (300 km/h) barrier is shattered in less than 29.5 seconds. Contrary to the production car the G-Power Hurricane is not limited electronically to a top speed of 155 mph. Aided by the specially cooled G-Power anti-slip differential the engine propels the car to a top speed of 211 mph.

The enormous performance places extreme demands on aerodynamics, tires, suspension and brakes. The G-Power front apron, upon request also available made from especially light carbon fiber, replaces the production part in its entirety. Its large air inlets provide optimal supply of cooling air for all radiators and front brakes. At the same time the spoiler minimizes lift on the front axle at high speeds.

The G-Power rocker panels smooth the airflow between the wheel houses and give the M5 and longer, lower and sleeker appearance. Lift on the rear axle is reduced by a spoiler lip attached to the trunk lid and the carbon-fiber rear diffuser for the G-Power rear apron.

Even better driving dynamics and more exclusive looks are the hallmark of the G-Power Silverstone 21-inch light-alloy wheels that fill out the space beneath the wheel arches perfectly. The drop-center rims have brilliant-graphite coated centers while the outer rim wells and spokes are polished. They are mounted in sizes 9.5 J x 21 with size 255/30 ZR21 tires in front and size 10.5 J x 21 wheels with size 295/25 ZR21 tires on the rear axle.

The large wheels make room for the G-Power high-performance brake system with six-piston fixed calipers and 400 x 36 millimeter brake discs on the front axle. G-Power also offers an upgrade package for the standard M5 brakes that consists of high-performance pads and brake fluid.

The M5 handling can be made even sportier by installing the height-adjustable G-Power coil-over suspension RS with nine selectable settings each for bound and rebound.

For upgrading the cockpit G-Power offers sporty components made from exposed carbon-fiber trim or an ergonomically shaped NARDO EDITION sport steering wheel covered in perforated G-Power Kjerba-Nappa leather that is a pleasure to touch.

The G-Power Hurricane is available as a fully converted car starting at 240,000 Euros. Any existing M5 - sedan and wagon - can also be upgraded with the G-Power twin-compressor system, available for 89,000 Euros. The price includes all necessary modifications to suspension, brakes and wheels. Also available are any items from the extensive G-Power tuning accessories lineup.

2009 Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

Hot on the heels of its revisions to the uber-brick known as the G-Class for 2009, Mercedes-Benz has released the first batch of pics showing the hotted-up AMG version, the G 55 AMG. Like its lesser brick siblings, the big box on wheels benefits from the same upgrades in convenience, comfort and safety, but also gets a host of styling tweaks. The lipstick on this particular pig is comprised of a new chromed, three-bar grille, the requisite fender flairs, body-color bumpers, chrome trim, stainless steel tube running boards and 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels painted grey. The 5.5L V8 engine has received a modest bump from 500 hp to 507, while torque remains put at 516 pound-feet. All this adds up to an incredible 5.5 second run to 62 MPH for what is perhaps the most unaerodynamic vehicle on sale today. The starting price is 121,618 euro.

2012 BMW M6 - Renderings

These 3D computer generated images (CGI) were created by graphics artist Guillaume Mouton in an attempt to visualize the next-generation BMW 6-Series Coupe and in particular, the top-notch M6 model. Mouton seems to have blended the shape of the long gone 8-Series Coupe with elements from the current 6-Series and the 4door CS Concept. Overall, not bad at all but I would have preferred a totally different design for the front-end, one that wouldn’t remind us of the current 6 series.

Ronn Scorpion - Hydrogen Power!

This is the Ronn Scorpion, and please do forgive for being a touch sceptical, but it does sound just a little too good to be true.

According to Texas-based Ronn Motor Company, the Scorpion is an all-carbon fibre supercar that'll hit 60mph in 3.5 seconds, return over 40mpg... and burn hydrogen all at the same time.
Yes, burn hydrogen. The Scorpion, so they say, is powered by 'fracturing water molecules' from an onboard water tank to create hydrogen, which is then mixed with petrol (in about a 40/60 split) and combusted in the 3.5-litre Honda-sourced V6.

The Scorpion will be available this autumn, which I sort of doubt, but within a year hopefully we will be able to grab a vehicle like this, because of the fore coming fuel prices.

ASI Tetsu GTR: Flower Power

The Bentley ASI Tetsu GTR, is a Japanese-modified Bentley Continental GT, that proves it's not only the Europeans who have bad taste in accesorizing their cars.

I'm not sure what offends me the most about the Tetsu. Is it the awful R8-mimicking rear end with DTM-spec rear wing? Maybe it's the jarring juxt aposition of the carbon-fibre bonnet with flower decals, which is apparently the work of renowned Japanese artist Nakamura Tetsui.

Which doesn't make it any more acceptable.

ASI has fettled an extra 250bhp from the Conti's six-litre W12 engine - bringing overall power to a nice round 800bhp - but doesn't specify how. Alchemy and witchcraft, perhaps. Over all the Tetsu is just one ugly car, that looks like it was designed by a crack head on lsd.

Online Drifting Game

I found this cool little drifting game online that's for free and a great time waister if you have nothing else to do. You can play either by yourself, or challenge up to 14 friends in a league and became the "drift champion". It's a pretty fun GTA 2 style game. Go here to play ----> http://www.driftgame.com.au/

BMW's Hydrogen Car Cleans The Air As You Drive

What if your car consumed carbon monoxide instead of spewing it out? Just such a vehicle was unveiled at last month’s SAE Congress in Detroit, which showcased some exciting green trends in the automotive industry. BMW stole the spotlight with its hydrogen-powered 7-series sedan that emits less carbon monoxide than is present in its environment. The car’s engine breaks down and converts carbon monoxide, essentially cleaning the air as it is driven.

BMW’s carbon cutting sedan features a six-liter hydrogen combustion engine that delivers performance on par with its gas-guzzling counterpart. The vehicle takes a step beyond BMW’s efforts to create a hydrogen/gasoline hybrid with astonishing results: tests conducted by Argonne Laboratories show that the car’s emissions are so low that they are undetectable by standard emissions tests.

It’s certainly true that Hydrogen fueled cars have some critical hurdles to overcome, but developments like this infuse the industry with an uplifting breath of fresh air. BMW currently has no plans for production, but the sedan marks sure signs of future-forward thinking.

2009 Lamborghinia Gallardo LP560-4

A Lamborghini is and always will be a highly efficient athlete. Its extreme sensuality is based upon precision, performance and on spontaneous action. A Lamborghini’s elegance is that of stark, purist strength. This DNA of the Lamborghini brand is being continuously developed by the Centro Stile in every new car. Thus the Gallardo LP560-4 displays the precise lines and clean surface edges in its distinctly minimalist design. Ornaments or embellishments of any form are alien to it.

Evolution of form systematically follows the demands of function: the newly designed front of the LP 560-4 squats deeply to the ground which contributes to its aerodynamic efficiency. The enlarged and clearly accentuated cooling intakes meet the demands of augmented engine power thus increasing the air circulation vital to a vehicle as powerful as this. The spoiler, positioned low between the air intakes, improves aerodynamic equilibrium at high speeds.
